• Great meal at the Natraj Indian Restaurant

  I'm a big curry fan and like to sample different restaurants with friends. The location of Natraj was novel, being the old Nantwich station building. We had some friends visiting the area so thought we would give it a try. We were VERY!! impressed. The staff, although clearly under pressure due to being quite busy were very friendly and helpful in explaining the eating options etc. We were seated at a good quality furniture table in a nice environment and promptly served with a nice pint of Cobra lager whilst we viewed the very extensive menu. A good selection of dishes were on offer, certainly different to the normal run of the mill offerings. The eating options were either the open buffet reasonable priced at £10.95 (eat as much as you like), maybe that's for another night as we had decided to go for the Al a carte menu. We didn't bother with a starter, just the popadoms and pickles. These were served on a very classy wooden try arrangement. The main meals arrived in good time and served piping hot although we think the waiter has asbestos coated hands. It's fair to say this was one of the tastiest meals I've ever tasted; I think it was called Tamerind Chicken. The others in the party had a King Prawn Buna, Chicken Pasandra and a Chicken Korma. All suggested the same that it was one of the tastiest Indian eating experiences they’d had. The novelty of the setting was further enhanced by a couple of slow passing trains during the meal, not at all an irritant. Credits due where it's due, this was first class at a reasonable price including wine and would highly recommend it to others and we will definitely pay it another visit in the very near future.
